IFS Therapy for Anxiety, People Pleasing, Trauma, and Perfectionism

What is IFS?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy helps you understand and heal the parts of yourself that feel anxious, overwhelmed, or self-critical. Rather than trying to “fix” you, IFS honors the ways your nervous system adapted to stress or trauma and has developed ways of coping that were intended to protect you, but no longer help you. IFS helps you reconnect with your authentic self, heal your inner child, and develop a greater capacity for self-compassion.

As an IFS Informed therapist for women, I support clients in developing a calmer relationship with their inner world and reducing anxiety at its root.

I offer IFS informed therapy via telehealth in Texas, California, and Oregon.

IFS is especially helpful for women who:

  • Overthink or feel mentally exhausted

  • Struggle with an inner critic or perfectionism

  • Feel emotionally conflicted or stuck

  • Want a compassionate, non-pathologizing approach

  • Have inner child wounds

  • Keep repeating patterns that are no longer helpful

  • Feel disconnected from their authentic self

  • Can’t turn their brain off

  • Want to understand the root of their symptoms, patterns, and behaviors

  • Struggle to feel good enough

  • Worry about being abandoned, alone, or left behind

  • Have a history of trauma
