EMDR Therapy for Women with

Anxiety and Trauma

What is EMDR?

EMDR therapy is a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps you process traumatic experiences, upsetting memories, chronic stress, and emotionally charged life experiences that continue to show up as anxiety, perfectionism, or emotional overwhelm. Many of the women I work with are high-achieving and capable, yet feel stuck in patterns of overthinking, self-doubt, emotional reactivity, or inner criticism.

As a certified EMDR therapist for women, I help clients move beyond insight and into real nervous system healing. EMDR allows the brain to reprocess painful experiences so they no longer feel disruptive or overwhelming.

I provide EMDR therapy via telehealth for women in Texas, California, and Oregon.

EMDR can be especially helpful for:

  • High-functioning anxiety

  • Perfectionism rooted in trauma

  • People-pleasing patterns

  • Childhood emotional neglect

  • Complex or developmental trauma

  • Grief and Loss

  • Not feeling good enough

  • Internal pressure to perform

  • Sexual trauma and abuse

  • Low self-esteem

  • Pregnancy and/or birth trauma

“It’s like that memory is dark green and by reprocessing it, I can turn it to light blue because dark green triggers me. The memory hasn’t changed, but the color has. Now I can look at the memory without being triggered because it’s light blue instead of dark green. Moving forward in my life, I can bring that new color with me. I’m always going to have the baggage, but the color of it can be different.”
